ARLINGTON — A Marysville teenager died Thursday night in a car crash on Highway 530 and a second Marysville teen remains hospitalized, officials said.
The Washington State Patrol said Adrian Allen Kuchin, 17, died about 5 miles east of Arlington when the car he was driving crossed the center line and slammed head-on into a truck.
His passenger, a boy, 16, was airlifted to Harborview Medical Center in Seattle. The boy was listed in satisfactory condition, according to a hospital spokeswoman.
The truck driver, a Darrington man, 55, was not injured.
Police believe speed may have contributed to the crash.
