MUKILTEO — Investigators have determined that a mechanical problem sparked an expensive fire in Mukilteo on Monday.
The fire caused $200,000 in damage to the Applied Aero Systems business along 47th Place W., according to the Mukilteo Fire Department. The fire set off water sprinklers, which likely prevented the damage from being in the millions, officials said.
The flames were reported just before 4 a.m. Monday. Information about the cause was released Thursday.
