Mountlake Terrace — Police chased two suspected gas station robbers from Mountlake Terrace through Lynnwood and into Kirkland before the men crashed a Jeep and were arrested early Sunday.
The men allegedly held up a Mountlake Terrace Shell station about 1:30 a.m., Mountlake Terrace police Sgt. Doug Hansen said.
The clerk told officers an armed man demand cash and fled in a silver Jeep Cherokee, Hansen said.
Officers learned a similar vehicle was reported being involved in robberies in Snohomish County and Shoreline.
A Jeep was spotted getting onto I-5; officers tried to pull it over, but the driver sped off. Officers learned the Jeep was stolen.
The chase continued into King County, where the car crashed.
The two men were arrested and booked into the Snohomish County Jail for investigation of first-degree robbery, possession of stolen property and attempting to elude police.
