SNOHOMISH – The 11-year-old girl who ran away from school Thursday morning was found safe in Everett more than six hours later.
Police, firefighters and volunteers launched a search-and-rescue operation after Nikole “Nikki” Judd disappeared during a recess break at Emerson Elementary, Snohomish Police Chief John Turner said.
The sixth grader was found safe in Everett around 6 p.m. and reunited with her family.
The girl apparently had walked all the way to Everett, Snohomish Police Cmdr. Fred Havener said in a press release.
