Wrong ballots may have been sent to 1,000 voters in Snohomish County so new ones are on the way.
Snohomish County Auditor Carolyn Weikel said the error came during the insertion of ballots into envelopes and occurred randomly in precincts throughout the county.
New ballots and a letter of explanation were sent this past week, she said. If any of the potentially wrong ballots are sent in they will be pulled out and set aside, she said.
