A 16-year-old boy was killed Wednesday afternoon in a motorcycle crash in the Echo Falls area.
The boy was headed north on 121st Avenue SE in a no-passing zone just before 5 p.m., Snohomish County sheriff’s spokeswoman Rebecca Hover said.
The rider went to pass a car in front of him. His motorcycle crashed into the car when the car began making a left turn in the 20400 block of 121st Avenue SE, Hover said.
When medics arrived, a bystander was performing CPR on the teen, Snohomish County Fire District 7 spokeswoman Autumn Waite said. The rider was pronounced dead at the scene.
He lived in the area, Hover said.
The driver of the car, a 19-year-old woman from that area, suffered minor injuries and was treated and released.
Speed appears to be a factor in the crash, Hover said.
