ARLINGTON — A motorcyclist suffered critical injuries Wednesday morning after a crash with a SUV on Highway 531.

The vehicles collided before 7 a.m. near 59th Avenue NE, the Arlington Fire Department said. The motorcycle driver was taken to Providence Regional Medical Center in Everett.

Photos from the fire department show a thick fog in the area.

The highway reopened by 10:27 a.m. after several hours of being closed between 51st Avenue NE and 59th Avenue NE during the investigation.
