BOISE, Idaho — An Idaho National Guard spokesman confirms two crew members were on board an Army National Guard helicopter that crashed in Boise.
KTVB-TV reports that Guard spokesman Col. Tim Marsano confirmed the number on board the helicopter the helicopter when it went down Thursday night. He says they were on a night training mission.
There’s no immediate word on injuries. Marsano did not immediately return calls from The Associated Press seeking details.
Boise Fire Chief Dennis Doan says the helicopter is an Apache. It reportedly crashed just south of the Boise airport.
The fire chief says Boise firefighters responded initially but have turned the scene over to the National Guard.
Ada County sheriff’s deputies have secured the site and blocked media access.
