PICNIC POINT — Neighbors have appealed the approval of a 112-home subdivision proposed on the last large tract of undeveloped land in Mukilteo’s future annexation area.
The Picnic Point Preservation Committee and the Regatta Estates Homeowners Association are asking the County Council to reconsider a May 25 decision by hearing examiner Peter Camp allowing the Frognal Estates project to move forward.
At issue are drainage, protections for children who walk to nearby Picnic Point Elementary School and how some lots for the proposed community were subdivided.
The council has scheduled a hearing at 1:30 p.m. July 19.
