TACOMA — The Lakewood Wal-Mart employee accused in the armored car robbery in which a guard was killed now faces an aggravated murder charge.
Pierce County prosecutors upped the charges against 42-year-old Tonie Marie Williams-Irby and her boyfriend, 41-year-old Odies D. Walker.
Deputy prosecutor Mark Lindquist told The News Tribune of Tacoma, “It became increasingly clear they they were up to their eyeballs in the planning of this crime.”
The two pleaded not guilty Monday.
Two others accused of killing guard Kurt Husted during the June 2 robbery, 34-year-old Calvin Finley and 20-year-old Marshawn Turpin, also face aggravated murder charges.
Prosecutors are now deciding whether to seek the death penalty if they are convicted.
