EVERETT — Investigators Monday haven’t released the identity of the woman killed by a car Sunday night when she tried crossing I-5 on foot.
A woman in her early to mid-20s was hit by a car and run over by another when she attempted to cross the northbound lanes at Highway 526. Washington State Patrol detectives Monday didn’t know why she wanted to cross the freeway.
The woman crossed southbound I-5 before a vehicle struck her on northbound lanes, State Patrol trooper Brandon Lee said.
Detectives continue to investigate.
