POULSBO — Kitsap County sheriff’s deputies say a 67-year-old man’s Poulsbo home was burglarized while he attended his wife’s funeral.
The thieves ransacked the house and stole a decorative box that had contained his wife’s urn.
Deputies told the Kitsap Sun they were called to the house on Friday afternoon. Also stolen were five firearms and the man’s nearly complete collection of U.S. quarters featuring states.
Investigators say they have no suspects.
Bellingham: 3 men arrested in meth bust
Northwest Regional Drug Task Force agents have arrested three men for investigation of bringing about $160,000 worth of methamphetamine into Bellingham from the Seattle area.
Agents arrested Alfonso Hernandez-Ramirez, 39; Camilo Lopez-Lopez, 31, and Efren Flores, 23, Friday night.
The Bellingham Herald says drug task force agents watched the men meet at a Bellingham restaurant at 9:30 p.m., and then leave to go to a motel.
Drug task force commander Rick Sucee told the newspaper the task force had been investigating the trio for a year and believed that a drug deal was taking place. He says agents arrested one of the men at the motel room and the other two outside another restaurant.
Sucee says he thinks the meth was manufactured in Mexico because it was high grade and in a large quantity.
