A key political barometer this year seems to be whether congressional candidates backed by former Alaska Gov. Sarah Palin are winning or losing.
As reported in The Hill, Tuesday night had two setbacks for her, one of them being Republican Clint Didier’s bid for the U.S. Senate.
The story goes on to say:
Given former Rep. Nathan Deal’s defeat of Karen Handel in Georgia’s Republican runoff for governor, Rep. Todd Tiahrt’s loss in the GOP Senate primary in Kansas and Tennessee congressional candidate CeCe Heil’s (R) loss, Palin is 0 for 5 so far in August.
Ah, but they missed one.
She backed Republican congressional candidate John Koster and he’s going to advance to a general election match with incumbent Rep. Rick Larsen, D-Wa.
Tuesday night results had Koster trailing Larsen by a slight margin though there is no question the two of them will move on.
So, make Palin’s record 1-5.
