OLYMPIA, Wash. — A woman who was burned in a propane tank explosion at her home Friday in Olympia has died of her injuries at a Seattle hospital.
She’s identified by the King County medical examiner’s office as Kathleen Gillespie.
Fire officials told The Olympian she had been cooking inside her home on a propane barbecue.
One 5-gallon propane tank had exploded and others were leaking and burning when firefighters arrived early Friday at the home.
The woman was airlifted to Harborview Medical Center in Seattle.
