Edmonds: Buy gifts made by local artists

Buy gifts crafted by local artists at a gift show being planned for later this month.

The Puget Sound Artists Gift Show is scheduled from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Nov. 17 at the Frances Anderson Center, 700 Main St. Admission and parking for the event is free.

Items expected to be on sale include pottery, jewelry, photography, prints, paintings, textiles and ornaments.

Lynnwood: Club holds holiday bazaar

A bazaar to benefit the Lynnwood Eagles Auxiliary’s holiday food basket program is planned for this weekend.

The holiday bazaar is scheduled from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. Saturday at the club, 19223 Highway 99. Breakfast is planned to be sold for $6 a meal from 9 a.m. to noon.

Mill Creek: Library hosts book group

Readers are invited to this month’s meeting of the Mill Creek Book Group planned for the Mill Creek Library.

The meeting is scheduled for 7 p.m. Nov. 15 at the library at 15429 Bothell-Everett Highway.

This month’s featured book is “Nine Parts of Desire” by Geraldine Brooks.

Monroe: Center holds social dance

The East County Senior Center plans to have an autumn social and dance from 5 to 8 p.m. Saturday at 276 Sky River Parkway.

The Moonlight Swing Orchestra, a 17-member band, is set to perform. A spaghetti dinner will be served from 5 to 7 p.m. The price is $8 per person at the door or $5 for tickets bought before the event.

Mountlake Terrace: Celebrate harvest festivals at library

The tradition of harvest festivals from around the world will be celebrated later this month at the Mountlake Terrace Library.

The celebration event is scheduled for 2 p.m. Nov. 17 at the library, 23300 58th Ave. W. People of all ages are welcome.

Volunteers are planning to share stories and traditions from various cultures that celebrate the harvest season.
