Around here, every time it snows, many drivers have a big decision to make. They can decide to attempt driving up a steep road to their home perched on the top of one of the county’s many hills. Or they could park at the bottom, and walk up.
If you ask Sue Campbell of south Everett, the answer is easy.
Every time it snows, she is entertained as drivers slip and slide up and down her street, Seaview Way, as it connects with Mukilteo Boulevard.
On Monday, it started early in the morning when Campbell, talking on the phone with her daughter, heard a large bang.
“I heard the scraping of the guy going over the curb and hitting the tree,” Campbell said.
She went outside to look, and there was his car with one wheel in the air. It was the first of six cars that struggled to make it up or down the hill.
“They’re stacking up on the hill like LAX,” she said. “Right where our house is right where everyone starts losing it.”
She said people should park at the bottom of the hill, but most don’t.
“It’s fun to look out the window and see people try to make it up the hill,” Campbell said. “It’s dangerous. It is entertaining as long as no one gets hurt.”
