OLYMPIA — A woman who says she was a former patient of an Olympia mental health counselor is accused of cutting his neck while they were in bed and then strangling him with an extension cord.
Thurston County Superior Court papers say Lia Tricomo, 27, told detectives she slit John Alkins’ throat Monday at his Olympia home because “he was a creep.”
Tricomo was arrested Tuesday after calling the Behavioral Health Resources mental health clinic and saying she had killed someone. She’s jailed for investigation of murder.
Behavior Health Resources spokesman Judi Hoefling told The Olympian that Alkins was fired in December for violating professional boundaries.
Thurston County Coroner says although Alkins had multiple neck injuries they were not fatal. He was killed by being strangled.
