EVERETT — A pedestrian was killed after he was struck by a vehicle whose driver fled the scene on Friday night, police said.
The man, in his 30s, was struck by a vehicle heading north in the 7100 block of Evergreen Way shortly after 7:30 p.m., Everett police officer Ora Hamel said. The man was not in a crosswalk at the time.
The driver fled the scene in their vehicle.
The victim was transported to the hospital and pronounced dead.
Both lanes of Evergreen Way were closed and reopened at about 11 p.m.
Police were investigating. Police had not publicly released any details about the suspected vehicle as of Saturday.
