EVERETT — A pedestrian suffered severe injuries when a car struck him in Everett on Monday night, police said.
Around 5:45 p.m., police responded to reports that a southbound vehicle hit a pedestrian in the 8500 block of Evergreen Way, Everett officer Ora Hamel said.
An aid crew transported the person to Harborview Medical Center in Seattle.
Police did not suspect the driver was impaired, Hamel said. The driver, who was not injured, was not arrested.
Officers shut down the road for about three hours.
On Wednesday, it remained an active investigation.
