SNOHOMISH — An Edgewood man was arrested late Wednesday night after allegedly threatening to kill his ex-wife, a Snohomish woman.
Snohomish detectives worked with police in Edgewood, north of Puyallup, to arrest the 37-year-old man.
Last week, the man was booked into jail for violating a restraining order. From jail, he allegedly continued to attempt to contact his ex-wife through a third party — a violation of the order, Snohomish police Cmdr. Fred Havener said.
After he was released, his aggressive behavior escalated and he allegedly threatened to kill his ex-wife and members of her family, Havener said.
“He couldn’t get the message and his ex-wife was real afraid that he would carry through his threat,” Havener said.
At the request of the Snohomish police, Edgewood officers arrested the man Wednesday night and turned him over to Snohomish detectives. He was booked into jail for felony harassment domestic violence.
