SNOHOMISH – People watching flood waters along the Snohomish River scattered this afternoon after reports of gunshots.
People were told to leave the Avenue D bridge after multiple gunshots were heard. Officers arrived at the scene at about 4:30 p.m., Snohomish Police Commander George Perillo said.
Witnesses reported multiple shots fired on the south side of the river, apparently somewhere along Lowell Snohomish River Road.
The area is cut off by flood water.
No injuries were reported, Perillo said.
Snohomish County Sheriff’s deputies are investigating the incident.
