SELAH — Authorities say they are investigating as a homicide the death of a woman whose body was found near an East Selah road.
The Yakima Herald-Republic reported that the body of Norma Emmerson, 54, was discovered Wednesday morning in a remote area.
Yakima County Sheriff’s detectives say the woman apparently suffered a fatal head injury. They believe she died near the area where she was found.
Detectives have seized a vehicle outside a motel that they say may contain evidence related to the woman’s death. They’re also interviewing several people who were in one of the motel rooms after finding possible evidence inside.
No arrests had been made as of Wednesday afternoon.
