EVERETT — The “Drive Hammered, Get Nailed” campaign kicks back up again this weekend.
The annual special emphasis patrols against drunken-driving are planned in Snohomish County from Friday to Sept. 5, said Belinda Young, a spokeswoman for the Washington Traffic Safety Commission. This is the first time the patrols will be conducted under a new state law that sets stricter standards for releasing vehicles after the driver is arrested for investigation of impaired driving.
Police officers, Washington State Patrol troopers and sheriff’s deputies from all over Snohomish County will be conducting the patrols.
