EDMONDS — Vandals have caused $10,000 in damage to multiple Edmonds parks and restrooms in recent weeks, and police are asking for help identifying suspects.
Toilets and sinks were pried from the walls, in one example of the damage at Brackett’s Landing, Olympic Beach, City Park, Hickman Park and Seaview Park, according to Edmonds police. Items have also been thrown into Puget Sound. Portable toilets were burned to the ground at Hickman Park.
The vandalism at Seaview Park included hate speech and symbols, Sgt. Josh McClure said.
After the Seaview Park incident around 4 p.m. Jan. 21, four suspected vandals believed to be about 16 or 17 years old were seen leaving the area in a maroon BMW 6 series convertible, McClure said Wednesday afternoon.
