EVERETT — Police did not find a gunman suspected of shooting a man Monday at an Everett apartment complex.
Around 2:30 p.m., police responded to reports of a shooting at the Bluffs at Evergreen apartments at 2 West Casino Road. The wounded man, 20, was taken to Providence Regional Medical Center Everett with injuries that were not life-threatening, according to Everett police.
The wounded man and the gunman knew each other, police said. Witnesses reportedly described the suspected shooter as a tall, skinny man in his 30s.
Investigators said Monday afternoon they thought the shooter may be in an apartment in the 100 block of West Casino. A SWAT team responded to the scene.
As of Tuesday, however, the suspected shooter remained at large.
West Casino Road from Evergreen Way to 5th Avenue was closed for about six hours while police searched the area.
