Republican Snohomish County Council candidate Bill Cooper, a retired police chief who works for Microsoft, will be speaking on “The Current Reality of Terrorism” at 7 p.m. June 13 at Shawn O’Donnell’s Restaurant, 122 128th St. SE, Everett.

Cooper is running for election in County Council District 2, which includes Everett and Mukilteo. Cooper wrote a guidebook for responding to terrorist attacks.

The event is $25. Reservations and information are available by calling 425-275-7665.
