SEATTLE — Congressman Dave Reichert, R-Wash., is being treated in a Washington, D.C., hospital for a subdural hematoma.
His staff said Reichert was admitted to George Washington University Hospital on Wednesday because he wasn’t feeling well.
Doctors have performed a procedure because of blood on the surface of his brain. In a news release, his staff said the hematoma was likely the result of a minor head injury, and that he is expected to make a full recovery.
The procedure was successful and Reichert is likely to be released from the hospital in a few days. His staff said he will get back to work with guidance from his doctors.
