Road report

How to read your road report: Road restrictions may be near but not necessarily in the cities under which they are listed. Most restrictions are from 7 a.m. to 6 p.m. weekdays. Any lane on the road could be closed between the two cross streets found in most listings.

Freeway work through Everett

* Multiple lanes of I-5 will be closed nightly through early Saturday morning in several locations between Highway 526 (the Boeing Freeway) and Marine View Drive. Northbound closures begin at 10 p.m. and end by 5 a.m. Southbound closures begin at 7 p.m. and end by 4 a.m.

* Rolling slowdowns nightly through Thursday in the open northbound lane will delay traffic as crews set girders at the 36th Street bridge.

* A rolling slowdown of the northbound lanes of I-5 will begin around 10 tonight and at 10 p.m. Tuesday just north of Everett Avenue.

* The southbound I-5 exit to westbound Highway 526 (the Boeing Freeway) will be closed for a few hours nightly through Wednesday beginning about 11 p.m. Drivers should watch for warning and detour signs.

* The eastbound right and carpool lanes of the Highway 526 ramp to southbound I-5 will be closed nightly beginning around 8 tonight through Wednesday.

* The northbound I-5 ramp to eastbound U.S. 2 will be closed nightly from 11 p.m. through 5 a.m. through Friday night. The ramp opens at 7 a.m. on Saturday.

* The westbound U.S. 2 ramp to southbound I-5 and California Street will be closed Wednesday through Friday nights between 10 p.m. and 4 a.m. Southbound drivers will detour by going north on I-5 and return southbound via Marine View Drive.

* The 41st Street overpass is closed for construction until about Nov. 30.

* Related to the bridge, ramp and freeway work noted above, the state will close lanes and reroute drivers on several downtown Everett streets, including 36th Street, Smith Avenue, Pacific Avenue, 41st Street, Hewitt Avenue, Everett Avenue, Lowell Road-52nd Street and Fourth Avenue S. Closures may cause ramp and city street backups. Drivers are encouraged to use other routes.

* The paving project on southbound I-5 from Highway 526 in Everett to 52nd Avenue W. in Lynnwood continues with night closures through Thursday. Weather permitting, closures begin at 7 p.m. and end by 5 a.m. Up to three lanes of southbound I-5 will be closed between 128th Street SW and I-405 for lane striping. The 44th Avenue W. onramp to southbound I-5 will be closed tonight and Tuesday night, 10 p.m. to 5 a.m., for paving.

New or updated road work

Alderwood Manor

* Bing Road, north of 195th Place SW. Lane closed weekdays through Oct. 13. Sewer construction.

Arlington

Highway 531 road improvements through Arlington may close the westbound lane from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. through Friday.

Bothell

* 39th Avenue SE, between 228th Street SE and 221st Street SE. Road closed Oct. 9 through Nov. 13. Detours will be posted. Sewer installation. In conjunction, there will be a lane closure on 228th Street SE for three days during the project.

* 228th Street SE at the intersection with Highway 9, northeast of Bothell. Lane closed Tuesday and Wednesday.

Cathcart

* Cathcart Way at 144th Place SE and on 144th Place SE, south of Cathcart Way. Lane closures weekdays through Oct. 31. Utilities, gas main installation.

* Cathcart Way, 7400 block. Lane closure extended through Oct. 16. Snohomish School District construction.

Everett

* Lowell-Larimer Road, 9100 block. Lane closure extended through Nov. 3. Road repair.

* Highway 529 bridges over the Snohomish River between Everett and Marysville. Through Friday, one northbound lane will be closed from 6 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. and one southbound lane will be closed from 9 a.m. to 3:30 p.m.

Lake Stevens

* 20th Street SE between 79th Avenue SE and 83rd Avenue SE, east of Lake Stevens. Lane closed Tuesday. Road work.

* 83rd Avenue SE, north of Eighth Street SE. Lane closed weekdays through Nov. 3. Utilities installation.

* 83rd Avenue SE at 12th Street SE. Lane closure today. Utilities installation.

* 103rd Street NE, north of Chapel Hill Road. Lane closed through Oct. 31. Sewer pipe installation.

* 79th Avenue SE between 10th Street SE and 20th Street SE. Lane closure extended through Friday. Power pole relocation.

* Sixth Street NE at the intersection of 201st Avenue NE, east of Lake Stevens. Road closed through Tuesday. Detour posted. Culvert replacement.

Lynnwood

* Southbound I-5 paving continues nightly this week at the 44th Avenue W. onramp, and striping will close lanes from 128th Street SE to the I-405 exit.

Marysville

* 152nd Street NE at Shoultes Road, north of Marysville. Lane closure extended through Friday. Road work.

* 132nd Street NE between 58th Drive NE and 59th Avenue NE, east of Marysville. Lane closure extended through Oct. 16. Culvert replacement.

* I-5 between 88th Street NE and just south of Marysville. One lane closed both directions nightly through Friday for median cable barrier installation.

* 23rd Avenue NE between Forty Five Road and 156th Street NE. Lane closure extended through Friday. Culvert replacement.

Monroe

* W. Hill Street, 300 block. Lane closure through Thursday. Utility work.

* Highway 522 bridge over Fales-Echo Lake Road. Lane closure nightly through Thursday for lane striping.

Silvana

* 188th Street NW, west of Eighth Avenue NW, south of Silvana. Lane closed through Oct. 25. Utility work.

Snohomish

* Creswell Road, north of Dubuque Road, northeast of Snohomish. Lane closed through Nov. 3. Waterline installation.

Stanwood

* 300th Street NW, between Garberg Road and Third Avenue NE, east of Stanwood. Lane closed daily Wednesday through Oct. 12. Culvert replacement.

Ongoing road work

Arlington

* Tronson Road between 260th Street NE and Stanwood-Bryant Road. Lane closed until Oct. 18. Sewer work.

Bothell

* 39th Avenue SE between 224th Street SE and 222nd Street SE. Telephone pole removal. Some traffic disruption weekdays through Dec. 17.

* 39th Avenue SE between 223rd Street SE and 228th Street SE. Lane closed through Oct. 27. Frontage improvements.

* 39th Avenue SE, south of 221st Place SE. Lane closed through Jan. 31. Water, sewer, utilities installation, frontage improvements.

* Travel lane width reduced on 35th Avenue SE at 183rd Place SE north of Bothell through Nov. 25. Telephone service installation.

Ebey Island

* 60th Street SE between Home Acres Road and 61st Avenue NE between Everett and Snohomish. Lane closed until Wednesday. Water main extension, water service installation.

Everett

* 120th Street SW and SE at Meridian Avenue. Lane closure extended through Friday. Sewer connection installation.

* 112th Street SE from Third Avenue SE to Seventh Avenue SE. Westbound lane closed from 7 a.m. to 2 p.m. until Oct. 16. Detour will be marked. Construction.

* Manor Way between 136th Place SW and Admiralty Way. Road closed until Friday. Construction.

* Pacific Avenue and Broadway intersection work continues. The project includes installation of a new traffic signal, widening of two right-turn lanes and new curbs and sidewalks. Weekdays 7 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. through Friday. A slight widening of right-turn lanes will be made on eastbound Pacific to Broadway and northbound Broadway to Pacific. Temporary sidewalks will be used as necessary.

Granite Falls

* Getchell Road and the Little Pilchuck Bridge, just east of 14th Avenue NE between Marysville and Granite Falls. Road closed through end of October. Bridge replacement. Detours posted.

Lake Stevens

* Sunnyside Boulevard from Ninth Street NE to one mile north. Lane closures extended through Oct. 31. Road paving.

* 99th Avenue NE, 101st Avenue NE and Chapel Hill Road. Lane closures extended through Oct. 31. Utilities installation.

* S. Lake Stevens Road, just north of 115th Avenue SE. Lane closed weekdays through Oct. 31. Power pole relocation.

* Westbound Chapel Hill Road and southbound N. Davies Road. Intermittent lane closures through Dec. 15. Utilities installation, frontage improvements.

* 20th Street SE between S. Lake Stevens Road and 115th Avenue SE. Lane closures extended through Oct. 31. Frontage improvements.

* S. Lake Stevens Road between 18th Street SE and S. Davies Road. Lane closed weekdays through Nov. 1. Utilities and frontage improvements.

* 113th Drive SE between 20th Street SE and 25th Street SE. Lane closed through Friday. Sewer installation.

* Russell Road between 28th Street NE and the Pilchuck River bridge. Intermittent single-lane closures through Friday.

Lakewood

* Forty Five Road between 11th Avenue NE and 172nd Street NE. Intermittent lane closures weekdays through Oct. 13. Marysville water transmission line project.

Lynnwood

* Manor Way just south of Admiralty Way north of Lynnwood. Lane closure extended through Oct. 20. Gas main connection.

* 156th Street SW, east of Admiralty Way, north of Lynnwood. Cul-de-sac closure through Dec. 1. Staging area for road project. Local access with delays.

Martha Lake

* Meadow Road north of 164th Street SW between Lynnwood and Mill Creek. Lane closure through Oct. 29. Utility connections and frontage improvements.

Marysville

* Soper Hill Road, north of 79th Avenue NE, and 79th Avenue NE, east of Soper Hill Road. Lane closures extended through Oct. 31. Utilities and frontage work.

* 116th Street NE between 51st Avenue NE and 55th Avenue NE. Lane closed through Friday. Storm and sewer lines installed.

* 71st Avenue NE between 39th Place NE and 40th Street NE, south of Marysville. Lane closed until Friday. Frontage road work.

Mill Creek

* 35th Avenue SE south of Seattle Hill Road. Lane closed weekdays through Dec. 18. Frontage improvements.

Monroe

* Highbridge Road and Mount Forest Boulevard intersection south of Monroe. Lane closure extended through Oct. 31. Utilities work.

Mukilteo

* 119th Street SW west of Alexander Road. Lane closed until Oct. 13. Utility work.

Silver Lake

* Verizon will install fiber-optic cable on county roads through Nov. 30. Possible lane closures on Highway 527 east to Highway 96, Lowell-Larimer Road, 132nd Street SE north to Everett city limits; 75th Avenue SE east of Highway 522 between 240th Street SE north to 224th Street SE; and 27th Avenue SE from 116th Street SE north to 88th Street SE.

Snohomish

* Dubuque Road from 159th Drive SE to 165th Avenue SE, northeast of Snohomish. Lane closure through Nov. 3. Water main installation.

* Riverview Road between Swan Slough Road and 69th Avenue SE west of Snohomish. Lane closed 24 hours daily, extended through Oct. 13. Bank stabilization project.

Sultan

* Skykomish Slough Bridge No. 150. Lane closed through mid-December. Wood bridge to be replaced with single-span concrete structure.
