Road Report

How to read your road report: Road restrictions may be near, but not in, the cities under which they are listed. Most restrictions are from 7 a.m. to 6 p.m. weekdays. Any lane on the road could be closed between the two cross streets found in most listings.

New or updated road work

Bothell

*45th Avenue SE bewteen 212th Street SE and 228th Street SE. Intermittent full road closures Aug. 28-Sept. 3. Snelson Companies Inc. will be driving trucks in and out of the Olympic Pipeline Pumping Station.

Edmonds

* 220th Street SW between 84th Avenue W. and Ninth Avenue S. Intermittent closures through next spring. Road widening and walkway installation.

Everett

* 29th Avenue SE between 118th Street SE and 123rd Street SE. Lane closed until Aug.16. Installing catch basins and a culvert.

Lake Stevens

* Highway 9 at Soper Hill Road. Southbound right-hand turn lane closed until Friday. Lake Stevens weigh station, paving and drainage.

* 54th Place NE between 99th Avenue NE and 105th Avenue NE. Road closed Aug. 15-Sept. 9. Drainage improvements.

* OK Mill Road and Machias Road. Road closed 6 a.m.- 5 p.m. Aug. 19, between Machias Road and Russel Road. Single lane closures over the bridges have been in effect from 7 a.m. – 3:30 p.m. Monday-Friday at the OK Mill Road and Machias Road intersection, and on OK Mill Road just east of Machias Road. Construction will continue through the summer. Mowat Construction is replacing OK Mill Road Bridge No. 44 over the Pilchuck River for Snohomish County Public Works. Bridge No. 423 just past No. 44 is also being replaced.

Lynnwood

* The I-5/Lynnwood park-and-ride direct access project. From 9 p.m.-5 a.m. Monday through Thursday nights, one lane of southbound or northbound I-5 will be closed. Paint striping.

* I-5/Ash Way park-and-ride project. Tuesday and Wednesday nights, two lanes of southbound I-5 near Lynnwood will be closed. The carpool lane will be closed at 8 p.m.; the adjacent at 10. All lanes will reopen by 5 a.m. the following morning. Restriping.

Maltby

* Highway 9 between Highway 522 and Highway 524. Flaggers will stop traffic in both directions on Highway 9 periodically until Friday to allow crews to clear debris from the roadway. These delays will last 5 to 15 minutes. Crews are widening Highway 9, and adding lanes in each direction to double the capacity of the highway.

* Highway 522 at the Fales Road, Echo Lake Road interchange. Intermittent brief lane closures on Fales Road from 9 a.m.-3 p.m. Monday-Friday. To allow construction traffic to cross the road safely. (Crews are replacing the current traffic signal with an interchange.)

Marysville

* Shoultes Road and 108th Street NE. Work has begun around this intersection in preparation for an intersection realignment and installation of a roundabout that will bring together Shoultes, 108th and 51st Avenue NE. This is a Snohomish County Public Works project.

Mill Creek

* Highway 527 between 132nd Street SE and 112th Street SE. Lane closed from 9 p.m.-6 a.m. Monday-Thursday nights. Widening.

Monroe

* U.S. 2 between 179th Avenue and Woods Creek Bridge. Monday-Friday. Lanes have been shifted to the south and are narrower. Crews will work on the northern portion of the intersection. Multiple projects are under way this summer.

Monroe-Snohomish

* Old Snohomish Monroe Road between 127th Avenue SE and Treosti Road. Lane closed 24 hours until Wednesday. Road repair.

Sultan

* Old Owen Road, east of Reiner Road. Road closed, 24 hours daily, until Sept. 23. Repairing road subgrade. n 299th Avenue SE, between U.S. 2 and Old Owen Road. Road closed, 24 hours daily, until Sept. 23. Repairing road subgrade.

* 59th Avenue NE, between Highway 530 and Dike Road. Lane closed until Aug. 31. Installing water line.

Bothell

* 164th Street SW, west of intersection with Meridian Avenue S. Lane closed until Aug. 31. Installing gas main. n 240th Street SE and Woodinville Snohomish Road intersection. Lane closed until Aug. 31. Installing frontage improvements and utilities for Costco store.

* 39th Avenue SE and 212th Street SE intersection. Lane closed until Nov. 30. Frontage improvements and utilities for the Oakmont plat. n 39th Avenue SE, from 212th Street SE to just south of 215th Street SE. Lane closed until Aug. 31. Removing and replacing poles. n 39th Avenue SE between 212th Street SE and 215th Street SE. Lane closed until Aug. 15. Utilities and frontage improvements. n 212th Street SE, between 39th Avenue SE and 42nd Avenue SE. Lane closed until Sept. 16. * 35th Avenue SE between 185th Place and 180th Street SE. Road closed, 24 hours daily, until Aug. 23. Installing sewer lines.

Brier, Bothell

* 242nd Street SW, east of 23rd Avenue W. Lane closed Oct. 1-Dec. 31. Installing sewer system.

Darrington

* Swede Heaven Road between 308th Street NE and White Horse Drive. Lane closed, 24 hours daily, until Aug. 26. Repairing the road bank.

Everett

* Gibson Road between Alexander Road and 120th Place SW. Lane closed until Aug. 26. Utilities and frontage improvements. n 122nd Street SW, between Gibson Road and 26th Place W. Single shoulder closed until Aug. 26. Utilities and frontage improvements. n 52nd Street SE, just east of 43rd Avenue SE. Lane closed until Thursday. Power washing and painting the City of Everett’s water transmission line.
