SEATTLE — A bus carrying a girls’ high school softball team smashed into an overpass Wednesday, crushing part of the bus roof.
Harborview Medical Center spokeswoman Susan Gregg-Hanson said the hospital was treating about 20 Garfield High School students Wednesday evening for non-life-threatening injuries “ranging from bumps and bruises to neck pain.”
Steve Abegg, a spokesman for Lynnwood-based Journey Lines, which supplied the bus, told a Seattle newspaper that driving through the arboretum is not a normal route.
