November recipients of the Lake Stevens School District’s Apple Award: Matt Wyant, fourth grade teacher at Sunnycrest Elementary School; Ken Engman, computer technician at Lake Stevens High School; Dorothy LaCourse, paraeducator at Hillcrest Elementary School; and Mark McCoy, math teacher at Lake Stevens Middle School.

Breast cancer fundraiser

The girls soccer team at Archbishop Thomas J. Murphy High School created signs, had t-shirts made, sold cookies and requested donations, raising $1,162.42 for breast cancer research.
