SEATAC — Officials at Sea-Tac Airport are looking at possible expansion to handle expected growth in the number of airplane passengers in coming years.
Managing Director Mark Reis told KING-TV the options include adding nearly three-dozen gates to the north satellite or building a second terminal to the north with three concourses. The airport also could add a satellite terminal to the south, expand the A concourse or bump out the front of the main terminal.
He says, “It’s not going to be cheap.”
The Port of Seattle commission will soon be presented with options. Reis expects a plan to start coming together this fall that would undergo environmental review and a review by the Federal Aviation Administration.
