Spook stops in Everett

Here are two homes to drive by in Everett to see Halloween displays:

A show with actors is planned at dusk on Halloween at 1505 Virginia Ave. in Everett. You know, fire-breathing folks, chain saws, Leatherface, smoke, that sort of thing.

Find candy in trunks: Lost and Found Community Church and A Sweet Escape Expresso offer Trunk or Treat, a safe and fun way to Trick or Treat.

It’s planned from 5:30 to 7:30 p.m. Saturday at Junction Center, near Getchell Station at 8411 Highway 92.

V.I.P. concert: For the second year in a row, members of the Everett Symphony are using their music to reach out to those who cannot see. The Everett Symphony is holding a free Visually Impaired Persons Pops Concert at 7 p.m. Nov. 5 at New Life Center, 6830 Highland Drive, Everett. Sponsored by the Everett Lions Club, the concert is open to all ages who are visually impaired and their family and friends.

Like last year’s concert, young audience members will be invited on stage during a break to talk with the musicians and examine their instruments.

Toastmaster’s Club seeks loquacious members: Snohomish County Toastmaster’s Club No. 690 is looking for new members to join its club. Meetings are 5:15 to 6:30 p.m. every Monday in Conference Room 6A04 on the sixth floor of Snohomish County Administration Building-East, 3000 Rockefeller St. in Everett.
