PORT ANGELES — Rangers and others are still keeping an eye out, but the search for a missing hiker in Olympic National Park was suspended.
A park spokeswoman, Jacilee Wray, said there was nothing more to do after Sunday’s search turned up no additional signs of Jim Griffin.
The 60-year-old Port Angeles man went for a day hike Dec. 22 to Olympic Hot Springs and was reported missing Wednesday night by his friends when he failed to show up at a Christmas Eve dinner.
His pack was found Christmas Day about 50 feet off the trail.
Over the weekend nearly two-dozen searchers completed an intensive grid search within 500 feet of the pack and a wider search of the area, which is steep with heavy brush and downed trees.
