Sharon M. Petersen and Howard D. Babcock, both of Everett, had 4.0 grade-point averages spring quarter at Central Washington State College. Other county scholars at Central were Karen L. Melley, Everett; Karen J. Frederick, Snohomish; and George W. Wiese, Marysville.
Gina Michelle Hild, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Robert Hild, of Marysville, was 2 years old today. Grandparents were Mr. and Mrs. Marcus Stein, Everett, and Mr. and Mrs. Vern Hild, Marysville. Great-grandparents were Mr. and Mrs. C.C. Hild, Arlington, and Anton Dahl, Everett.
25 years ago (1989)
The Everett Clinic had opened a new walk-in clinic at 4005 Hoyt Ave. in the 41st Street Plaza (one block south of the main clinic). Dr. James Lusk was the staff physician. In September he would be joined by specialists in pediatrics and family practice. The clinic was open noon to 8 p.m. Monday through Friday.
Travel Time of Everett Inc. had opened its doors at 5129 Evergreen Way. It was fully computerized and offered a variety of travel services. Paul and Sue Arnold, Penny Clark and Doug and Sheryl Wills were the owners. Clark managed the business.
