Larry McDonald was a specialist at Norton Piano Co. at 1911 Hewitt Ave. He was a factory-trained electronic organ technician with nine years of electronics experience, and was qualified to service any make of electronic organ.
A.J. Zysset was the new master of Forest Glade Grange. Other new officers were Stanley Rice, Lorena Ewing, Violette Cross, Verne Booth, Robert Burke, Lee Dahl, Nella Zysset, Hattie Johnson, John Conderman, Margaret Huff, Lucille Conderman, Eleanor Wardrum, Jacquelyn Holden, Vernon Holden, Hazel Booth and Pard Hunt.
25 years ago (1989)
Starting today was a weekly column, “Street Smarts” written by Bob Wodnik. It was a place where readers could compare tips while navigating the awful driving conditions in Snohomish County. Getting to work, school and the grocery store were becoming longer parts of our lives.
Silver Lake Winery technicians Randy Green and Bill Ammons readied bottle machinery at the new Mill Creek vintner. It was celebrating its grand opening and hoped become the finest winery in the state. In just two months of commercial distribution Silver Lake Winery had won every wine contest it entered.
