MONROE — Backers behind Monroe Initiative No. 1 expect to find out for sure on Tuesday how many signatures they still need to support their measure to ban traffic enforcement cameras in town.
It sounds like they’ll need to collect 374 more verifiable signatures by June 10, Mukilteo-based activist Tim Eyman said.
“This is going to be a huge challenge,” he said.
They had collected about 1,230 signatures, but many of them turned out to be from people not registered to vote or who don’t live in Monroe, Eyman said.
