Skateboarder hurt in collision with pickup

EVERETT — A 15-year-old boy was seriously injured Thursday while skateboarding down a hill along 34th Street in Everett.

About 3:15 p.m., the boy was crossing Wetmore Avenue on his skateboard when he collided with a Ford pickup truck in the intersection, officials said.

The boy was taken to a local hospital. The truck’s driver, 29, of Everett, wasn’t injured.

Everett police were investigating.
