SOUTH BEND — The Pacific County, Wash., sheriff’s office says human remains found April 1 in a forested area have been identified as those of a South Bend man missing since last November. On Wednesday, investigators searched the man’s house and arrested his 16-year-old son for investigation of murder.
Chief Criminal Deputy Pat Matlock says the King County medical examiner’s office used dental records to identify the remains as those of Timothy W. Moore, 48, listed as missing since Nov. 4. KXRO says the cause of death was a severe blow to the head.
Matlock says investigators served a search warrant at Moore’s house with the help of a Washington State Patrol crime lab team.
The investigation continues.
