EVERETT — Sound Transit is seeking feedback on possible improvements to pedestrian and bike infrastructure around its new Link light rail stations in Everett, the transit agency announced Thursday.
The transit agency sets aside funding through its non-motorized station access allowance to improve walking and biking routes to light rail stations from neighborhoods.
A new survey the agency released Thursday shows dozens of potential projects for all of the new light rail stops in Everett. They include sidewalk widening, bike lanes, traffic calming measures and enhanced crossings. Some of the improvements would be upgrades to existing infrastructure while others would be new construction.
The agency has yet to decide on an exact location for the new Everett stops. That will likely come by 2027 after an extensive environmental review process. Light rail isn’t expected to arrive in Everett until 2037.
The survey is available online at everettlink.participate.online/interactive-map.html. The comment period is open through June 29.
An in-person public meeting is planned for 5:30 p.m. June 5 at Cascade High School, located at 801 E Casino Road in Everett.
