Suspect arrested in death of Sunnyside girl

YAKIMA — Yakima County sheriff’s detectives arrested a suspect in the killing more than a year ago of a 14-year-old Sunnyside girl.

The sheriff’s office says 22-year-old Jesus Fabian Perales was arrested Tuesday at the home of relatives in Outlook.

He’s jailed for investigation of murder in the death of the teen, Francisca Hernandez-Ramirez. She was last seen leaving a party in October of last year and was initially reported as a runaway. Her body was found in February in the Yakima River near Prosser.
