LAKEWOOD — Police have arrested one suspect in a violent home invasion in Lakewood where they believe another suspect was fatally wounded.
Lakewood police say they’re still looking for a third masked man who forced his way inside Tuesday night, pistol whipped a man and cut his wife with a knife.
The homeowner was able to arm himself and fire shots at the intruders, who fled. About an hour later a body was left in the parking lot of a Federal Way apartment complex.
Police say the dead man has been identified as 19-year-old Taijon Voorhees. Another 19-year-old, Duprea Romon Wilson, was arrested Wednesday night and jailed for investigation of charges related to the home invasion.
Police have not identified the third suspect or said why the home was targeted.
