SEQUIM — Clallam County sheriff’s detectives arrested a suspect Wednesday in an attack on a woman riding a bicycle last month on the Olympic Discovery Trail at Sequim.
The sheriff’s office says 22-year-old Spencer J. Silva was arrested at his home in Sequim for investigation of assault.
Some home surveillance video enhanced with the help of the FBI helped identify Silva as a suspect.
In the July 21st attack the 22-year-old woman was knocked to the ground at 8:30 in the morning by a man wearing a Halloween mask.
The Peninsula Daily News reported she screamed and fought back, causing the man to run to his car.
