LYNNWOOD — A woman was taken to the hospital Tuesday night after reportedly striking a construction truck stopped on southbound I-5 near 220th Street SW south of Lynnwood. The woman, 57, of Shoreline, didn’t appear to be seriously injured, but needed to be checked out because her airbag deployed, said Trooper Keith Leary with the Washington State Patrol.
About 9 p.m., her sport utility vehicle struck the back of the flatbed truck, which was rented by a state Transportation Department subcontractor. The truck was stopped in the far right lane of the highway.
