AUBURN — Auburn Police say a taxi cab driver was killed early Friday when his cab was struck by a SUV that ran a red light.
Police Cmdr. Mike Hiram told KOMO-TV the SUV ran a red light. The driver and his female passenger were taken to a local hospital for treatment of serious injuries but they are expected to survive.
The cab driver was pronounced dead at the scene.
Hiram says officers are investigating whether alcohol or drugs were a factor in the crash.
