STANWOOD — A three-car accident on I-5 near Stanwood left five people injured early Saturday, according to the Washington State Patrol.
The accident happened about 4:07 a.m. when a car traveling south in the northbound lanes of I-5 collided with an oncoming car, which then collided with a pickup, police said.
The drivers of both cars were taken to Providence Everett Medical Center Colby campus for treatment of injuries, along with three people who were passengers in the northbound car.
The driver of the pickup was uninjured.
No charges have been filed against the 21-year-old Arlington woman who was driving the wrong way, the State Patrol said.
The accident remains under investigation.
