SNOHOMISH – Police have arrested three teens in connection with the murder of a 50-year-old man whose body was discovered inside a home Saturday.
Snohomish police arrested a 16-year-old boy in Sumner about 8 p.m. Sunday for investigation of first-degree murder, according to Snohomish County Sheriff’s spokeswoman Jan Jorgensen. While detectives were speaking with him, Bonney Lake police officers called to report that they had found a 15-year-old boy and an 18-year-old man inside the victim’s stolen 1984 Pontiac Firebird, Jorgensen said.
Sheriff’s detectives drove to Bonney Lake, where they interviewed the two teens. They also were arrested for investigation of first-degree murder, Jorgensen said.
It isn’t clear if the teens knew the victim, whose identity had not been released as of Monday morning.
The man was found between 1 and 2 p.m. Saturday by a female family member who went to visit him in the 1100 block of Maple Avenue.
Jorgensen said the murder doesn’t appear to be related to the death of Brian Somes, 47, who was killed when he apparently interrupted a burglary at a home down the hill from where he lived in the 9100 block of 52nd Street SE in Snohomish. No arrests have been made in that murder.
