Air Force Airman Keoni T. Kuapahi recently graduated from basic military training at Lackland Air Force Base, San Antonio, Texas. He is the son of Leialoha and Amy Kuapahi of Oak Harbor, and a 2008 graduate of Oak Harbor High School.

Air Force Airman Luke J. Semler graduated from basic military training at Lackland Air Force Base, San Antonio, Texas. He is the son of Patrick Semler of Mill Creek and Mellanie Edmonds of Lynnwood. Semler is a 2004 graduate of Edmonds-Woodway High School.

Air Force Airman Joseph C. Vigil recently graduated from basic military training at Lackland Air Force Base, San Antonio, Texas. He is the son of Joseph Vigil of Oak Harbor and Erica Turner of Lewiston, Idaho. The airman is a 2005 graduate of Oak Harbor High School.

Air Force Airman Rodger D. Roberts graduated from basic military training at Lackland Air Force Base, San Antonio, Texas. He is the son of Marilyn Roberts of Marysville, and is a 2007 graduate of Marysville-Pilchuck High School.

Army Reserve Pvt. Julianne R. Peckler has graduated from basic combat training at Fort Jackson, Columbia, S.C. She is the daughter of Richard Peckler of Renton and Darla Peckler of Monroe. The private is a 2006 graduate of Monroe High School.

Navy Lt. j.g. Joshua D. Denning, son of Kristin and David Denning of Stanwood, recently was designated a naval aviator while serving with Training Squadron 22, Naval Air Station, Kingsville, Texas. Denning was presented with the coveted “Wings of Gold,” marking the culmination of months of flight training. Denning is a 1999 graduate of Lynnwood High School. He joined the Navy in 2006.

Navy Seaman Recruit Lars A. Olsen, son of Brenda and Leif Olsen of Arlington, recently completed basic training at Navy Recruit Training Command, Great Lakes, Ill.

Navy Seaman Recruit Brandon J. Morgan, son of Julie Prather of Cleveland, Ohio, and Dale J. Morgan of Oak Harbor, recently completed basic training at Navy Recruit Training Command, Great Lakes, Ill.
