Two men accused of sexually harassing a 16-year-old girl and later attacking her boyfriend have been charged with an assortment of crimes in Snohomish County Superior Court.
Jason Christopher Hurm, 34, of Scappoose, Ore., was charged with second-degree assault, a felony, and communicating with a minor for immoral purposes, a gross misdemeanor.
Ryan Bruce McLean, 29, of Everett, was charged with felony communicating with a minor for immoral purposes and failure to register as a sex offender.
The girl told Edmonds police the two men followed her onto a bus in south Everett, making lewd comments about sexual acts they’d like to do with her and trying to touch her.
They followed her off the bus in Edmonds, and she ran to her boyfriend’s house, deputy prosecutor Matt Baldock said. Her boyfriend, 17, and two of his friends confronted Hurm and McLean with baseball bats.
The older men took the bats away, and one of the youths was struck on the head, Baldock said.
