EVERETT — The USS Rodney M. Davis is expected to return home to Everett on Tuesday after a six-month deployment in the eastern Pacific.
Around 200 sailors live aboard the boat and have been on a counternarcotics-terrorism mission, according to a U.S. Navy press release.
The crew seized 6 tons of cocaine and 160 pounds of marijuana.
While visiting ports, the sailors did community service projects aimed at strengthening ties with partner nations. In Mexico, they painted a school. In Panama, they painted schools and finished refurbishing an extended-stay home for cancer patients.
The USS Davis is expected to arrive at Naval Station Everett at 2 p.m. Tuesday.
